KIDS NEED KIWANIS
TO LOOK OUT FOR THEM

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.

KIDS NEED KIWANIS. Kids are curious, lovable and hilarious. They are also wild, impatient and vulnerable. Kiwanis is looking out for kids in every corner of the globe with more than 550,000 volunteers who serve their communities through local clubs.

KIWANIS MOTTO:

“Serving the Children

of the World”

The name “Kiwanis” was coined [loosely] from a native American language. Random House Dictionary states that it comes from one of the Algonquian languages and means “to make oneself known”. It was translated “We build” when Kiwanis was founded as a service club in 1914, and was adopted as its motto in 1920. In 2005 the motto was changed to “Serving the children of the world”. That’s our goal. That’s what we do!

WHAT KIWANIS DOES WORLDWIDE:
