The Kiwanis FLB supported K-Kids Club at Waterford Elementary school (advised by Kiwanis FLB member, teacher Malinda Vitiello) helped to coordinate the school’s annual fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The initially set goal was $2,021. The school-wide incentive for reaching this goal was for Mrs. BP to be duct taped to the wall.
The students quickly reached the goal barely halfway into the three week fundraiser! So top contributors, as well as the six K-kids here at Waterford, helped to duct tape our wonderful principal, Mrs. BP, to the wall (see photo below). The school watched on Google Meet since we could not all gather in the gym as we would have typically done. At the conclusion of the fundraiser, the students had raised over $4000, more than double our initial goal!
