SERVICE ACTIVITIES IN RECENT YEARS

The Kiwanis Club of Fort LeBoeuf was chartered September 27, 2006. Since then we have had many service activities. Here are a few:

  • Scholarships for Fort LeBoeuf High School seniors
  • 3rd graders at the Waterford Fair
  • Highway Clean Up
  • Blanket tying (blankets were given to the women’s shelters nearby
  • Adopting College age foster kids for mentoring and encouragement
  • Making trauma dolls and stuffed animals for safety forces to give kids
  • BUGS program
  • Sponsoring “K Kids” club at the local elementary school
  • Hosted an Opioid Information Event
  • Meet-the-School-Board-Candidates event
  • Bike Rodeo and Safety Day Programs
  • “Waterford Works Day”
  • Reading to the Elementary students
  • FLB HS Graduation Decorations 2020
  • Making masks for COVID safety
  • Water Bottle Drive
  • Scavenger Hunt
  • Halloween Costumes
  • Snowman Day
  • Various projects at the Food Pantry
  • Food Drives
  • Donating Items for the school nurses
  • Making Cards for Nursing Home residents

FUND-RAISING ACTIVITIES

We focus on active service projects so we limit ourselves to four annual fund-raising activities:

  • Pancake Breakfast
  • Purse Bingo
  • Rose Sale
  • Potato Sale
